Spelling and Literacy Homework:

Due Tuesday: Unit 4 first page in spelling book or packet (p. 37 in the book)

Due Wednesday: Unit 4 second page in spelling book  (p. 38) or packet

Students take a pre-test the first day of every week and I send it home with them that day.  They should be using the pre-test as a study guide for the week.  Please ask them to see their pre-test.  Look for spelling pattern mistakes to make them more efficient at studying. For example you may notice that your child always misses words with an “I before e” pattern, or words with double consonant patterns.  It is better to learn spelling rules and patterns then to just memorize words, though some words are just memorization.

Reading log is due this Friday 9/25.  Then students can start working on next weeks log this weekend. Parents need to sign the log. Every week students need to be reading 120 -150 minutes minimum.
