    I will be going out of town due to an illness with my grandpa.  I originally planned to only be gone Friday, but need to leave sooner.  I will try and schedule a few conferences when I can for next Tuesday pm.  I will schedule the rest over the next week or two.  These conferences are teacher invitation or parent request.  Not all students will have a conference this round.

     

    Calling all volunteers! Colonial Day February 24 (This is a date change) We need help supervising and running different activities.  Please e-mail or send me a note if you are willing to help.  Activities will be at various times throughout the day.   Information should have come home today on Monday.

    • In science we have been looking at how heat effects different solids and liquids. We have also been working on graphing our data.

    Check it Out! If you go to http://everydaymathonline.com/ You can access the Everyday Math games PLUS you can access the online interactive student math reference book.

    You just have to sign on first.  The students know their log ins and passwords.  I also gave you a small card at conferences that has thier log ins.  If you lost it let me know and I can e-mail you the information.

    November 3: Ameritowne field trip Please send $10 to cover the cost of the fieldtrip. Please bring a sack lunch and a water bottle.

    November 3: Denver Public schools Expo 6:30-8:30 at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. More then 50 schools will be there.  This is an opportunity for families to check out many of the middle school options that are avaliable in the area.  (Call 720-423-3885 if you have any questions)

    Novemebr 5: Field trip to Hamilton is in the morning.

    Homework for the week and over the break:

    Math: Double sided copy about division, divisibility and fact families.

    After the break we will be Starting Unit 4 which is on division.  The break would be a great time for kids to practice their division facts. 

    Reading Log: Is due as usual on Monday after the break.  The kids should be reading an average of 150 minutes per week.  This week they have a "Tic Tac Toe" read and respond assignment.  This has been explained to the kids in class.

    Below is the schedule for conferences.  If your name is not on the schedule it is because I have not had a conference request form returned to me.  Please e-mail or send me a note if you have a preference for the remaining time slots.  If I do not hear from you I will schedule you in an open spot.
