April 27 Week of April 27

Math: Due Monday: SL 10.9 Due Tuesday: copy about circles Due Wednesday: No Homework Due Thursday: Due Friday: No school for students
Spelling Unit 29 Due Tuesday: Book page p. 187 Due Wednesday: No copy Due Thursday: Book page p. 188 (Spelling test on Thursday) Due Friday: No School
Reading Log: (Due May 4) The students should be recording their reading in their planners. Parents and Guardians please initial or sign their planners. The students need to be reading an average of 150 minutes a week. I check their logs on Monday so they have the weekend to make up any time missed during the week. Volunteers needed: One chaperone for the April 24 opera workshop fieldtrip
Help the art teachers get ready for the art fair by hanging art work around the school on Wed. April 29th through Friday May 1st.
Important Dates and Information:
· April 16: Opera trunk Assembly 2:00
· April 17: No school
· Book exchange April 20. Bring in two books to donate to the book exchange
· Benchmark tests will be the week of April 20 - 24
· The opera field trip will be April 24, please bring a sack lunch and a drink. The cost for this field trip is $10. If you would like to chaperone this fieldtrip please e-mail me at Heather_Jackson@DPSk12.org or send a note with your child to school. (I only need one chaperone)
· April 29: Volunteer Tea
· Please send in a plain white t-shirt with your child’s initials on the tag to tie-dye for field day.
· May 1: No school for students
· Late Starts April 21 and May 15 (Next year the late starts will be changed to early release ½ days)
· May 13: Field day (April 14 is the rain day back-up)
· May 15: 5th grade music performance one during school and one in the evening
· May 22: Opera assembly at school 2:00
· May 25: No School
· Continuation: May 26 at 6:30 pm
· May 29: Last day of school for students

The Unit 9 math test went home on Friday. Kids should have gotten an adult signature and corrected their mistakes.
