Two weeks worth of reading log will be due Friday December 5. Remeber each student needs to read between 120-150 minutes per week. A week in this case is from a Friday to the next Friday.

Students take a pre-test the first day of every week and I send it home with them that day. They should be using the pre-test as a study guide for the week. Please ask them to see their pre-test. Look for spelling pattern mistakes to make them more efficient at studying. For example you may notice that your child always misses words with an “I before e” pattern, or words with double consonant patterns. It is better to learn spelling rules and patterns then to just memorize words, though some words are just memorization. Also look for the pattern that the book and the packet focus’s on.
